JÜAN DU SOL – CUBA EP
Jon George, is well known among dance music circles for his role as one third of RÜFÜS. He has spent the better part of the last three years touring the world with Sweat It Out’s favourite sons off the back of their 2013’s debut album ‘Atlas’, and their 2016 follow up ‘Bloom’.
However, today we present you a new side of Jon George with the first taste of his upcoming ‘CUBA EP’ via his late night club moniker, JÜAN DU SOL. Beginning two years ago as an avenue for Jon to explore his love for club music, JÜAN DU SOL teased the project with a dark remix of ‘Clockworks’ by Franskild and then a dance floor take of Chet Faker’s Blush. The tracks and following soundcloud mixes from JÜAN DU SOL showed the early workings and crafting of what those in the know can see is a distinctive JDS sound. The title track from the EP, Cuba, sits right in that JDS sweet spot, with dark synths, driving kicks, and eery vocal loops all combining to create understated moments of dance floor satisfaction.
