Slumberjack
Since making their dance music debut in 2014, Australian duo SLUMBERJACK—composed of Perth natives Fletcher Ehlers and Morgan Then—have collected 3 Gold records, toured across 3 continents, racked up over 100 million streams, and collaborated with artists such as Alison Wonderland, What So Not, Daniel Johns, Vera Blue and more. SLUMBERJACK’s 2017 Fracture EP ranked #1 on the iTunes Australia electronic chart and featured two ARIA Gold-certified tracks, “Afraid, Unafraid” and "Fracture". Following that, the Sarawak EP featured collaborations with TroyBoi and Ekali, and the heavily Triple J-playlisted “Hide and Seek”. More recently, the duo released their Black & Blue EP including their standout Daktyl collaboration “Crucified” ft. MOONZz.
Today, newly signed to Sweat It Out (home to Rufus Du Sol, A-Trak, What So Not, and Dom Dolla), the pair have just released a hugely infectious triple-j supported single “Poison”.
“The goal has always been to write music that’s different from everything else we’ve done and to explore new genres, new sounds and new instruments,” says Ehlers. In regards to the group’s shows, he adds, “There should be moments where you just absorb something ugly or unusual, and then get the payoff later when you experience something beautiful. We don’t want to have people just going crazy the whole time — we want to give them a show that takes them on some kind of a journey.”
