Cutsnake – Jungle Shrimp
Jungle Shrimp is a very tasty, and aptly named slice of tropical, tribal, quirk bass house. It’s the kinda tune you can imagine being played as Martin Sheen made his way down the river to Cambodia if Apocalypse Now was shot today. It’s the kinda tune that got both balls and quirk, bass and melody, could be played by the house heads but also the dirty birds.
Cut Snake is the house baking alias of Aussie duo comprised of former (kinda still) pro surfers Leigh Sedley and Paul Fisher. And while it may be true that a quick scope of their instagram will show them tearing apart waves with peeps like Taj Burrows and Mick Fanning and while that may mean I have a slight man crush on them, it’s not why I am talking about them here.
The truth is, they also rip in the studio (and behind the decks, recently playing on, for example, Holy Ship) and this is just one of an exciting batch of releases the boys have coming and we hope you dig it as much as we do.
